Public Policy Engagement

We help funding agencies’ public policy engagement and health advocacy, in particular, in their search for political and policy commitments at global, regional and national levels.

In this regard we work with clients in developing and implementing Policy and Advocacy frameworks to facilitate government commitments and processes and their translation into tangible actions in support of strong and sustainable health systems.

This has included strengthening engagement with in-country legislative processes, framing and positioning of value of health commodities on the wider policy agenda and building consensus on the policy responses in support of stronger and sustainable health systems. The areas of focus for our public policy engagements have included the following:

• Supporting and contributing to the establishment of knowledge management, research and thought partnerships at regional and country levels with a view to strengthening data and evidence generation for political engagement and policy making.
• Development of policy and advocacy toolkits with a clear structure and methodology, array of resources including analysis, data, evidence briefs, policy measures and responses, and communication materials.
• Supporting the coordination of engagement with external advocacy partners on political will work
• Support the funding agencies in their engagement with stakeholders at national, regional and global level to identify and share best practices.
